FAQ's

1.    Where are we located?Ashfield House is located on D’Olier Street between Trinity College and O’Connell Bridge.

2.    Is there curfew? Ashfield House remains open 24 hours. We operate a security pass system to gain entry.

3.    What is included in the price for a night? All rates are per person per night sharing and include a light breakfast and linen. All rooms are en-suite ( with toilet and shower).

4.    What is breakfast? Ashfield House serves a light buffet breakfast, consisting of a range of cereals, toast, butter, jam, chocolate spread, tea and coffee available every day. On any given day you will also find either fresh fruit, yoghurt, boiled eggs, scones or croissants.

5.    What time is the breakfast? Breakfast time is from 7:30am until 10:30am Monday - Friday and 8am - 11am on Saturday and Sunday and it is self service.

6.    Which are the check-in and Check-out times? Earliest Check in time is 2pm. Check out time is 10.30am Monday - Friday and 11.30am on Saturday and Sunday.  If you arrive before 2pm and you bed/room is not ready yet. you can leave your luggage in our left luggage facility (which is free of charge) and then check in later.

7.    Is there WI FI internet access? We offer free WI FI internet access to all guests with laptop computers. For guests not carrying a laptop there are computers available (Internet € 1 for 15 mins)

8.    Are there parking facilities? Unfortunately Ashfield house does not have its own car park. There is a multi-storey car park located on Fleet Street (5 minute walk from Ashfield House)

9.    Is there any luggage room? A luggage room is provided free of charge for early arrival and late departures

10.    And any security boxes? Security boxes are available to rent for a deposit of  €10.00 and a charge of €1 per day

11.    How can I pay? We accept € and all major credit cards

12.    Which is the cancellation policy? For individuals, we require at least 48 hours notice for a cancellation (Late cancellations or no show will result in the card-holder being charged for the first night’s stay). For group-bookings we implement specific cancellation terms.

13.    Is there bed linen include?Bed linen is included (pillow, sheet, quilt cover)

14.    Are there Single-Sex rooms? We offer a number of Female-only dormitory rooms at Ashfield House. If you require a single-sex room and you are booking on-line, ensure that you click on the female-only option. Failure to do so will result in a mixed room booking.

15.    What’s happen with minors?  Whilst we do welcome children under 16 to stay at Ashfield House our company policy states that they may only stay in private rooms or dormitories for sole occupancy, if you reserve a dorm bed for someone under the age of 16 we will cancel the reservation upon arrival and you will incurr a cancelation charge of 1 nights accommodation

16.    Is there disabled facilities? Whilst disabled guests are very welcome at Ashfield House, we do not offer specific facilities to cater for disabled guests.

17.    Can I have cooking facilities? We provide a self-catering kitchen with cooker/toasters/cutlery/plates etc. Guests are expected to respect the rules of this facility i.e. wash up after themselves and leave the kitchen as they found it.

18.    Are towels included? Towels are available to rent for €1 charge.
